Where do the wildflowers bloom?
In the meadows
Open, full sun
A place of visibility, arms spread wide, welcoming
Where do the wildflowers bloom?
In the wetlands
Saturated
A place where land and water meet, daring, daunting
Where do the wildflowers bloom?
In the forests
Sheltered, covered, hidden
Safe, secure
A place where to be seen they must be sought
Wildflowers bloom
Adaptive variations
Evolving in its turn
Unorganized beauty
Unbound and free
Sometimes I am a wallflower
Closed and unseen
Yet within me is the wildflower
Which longs to bloom
To turn its face into the sun
To soak its feet within still waters
To conceal itself among a canopy of green
Singular beauty within a sea of beauty
Courageous and steadfast in moments of change
A treasure to be discovered
