We’ve had a fire in our fireplace since Sunday. We let if die down last night as we slept through the night. While cleaning the ash I discovered a few coals hidden in the ash, so built another fire from those coals. And since the power was surging, I cooked breakfast near the coals.
Sometimes, we may think we’ve lost our fire, but maybe there are coals convered by the ash, hidden. All you have to do is stir up the gift and fan the coals into a flame which is already inside of you. 2 Timothy 1:6. When fed, those flames produce more coals. The coals are where the real, lasting heat comes from.
So let you light shine and your flame burn. Yes, God gives us beauty for ashes. (Is 61:3) But sometimes the beauty is hidden in the middle of the ash!
Love it.
