Oh, How I Love Your Words!

“Oh, how I love your Words! I meditate on it all day long. Your commands are always with me and make me wiser than my enemies… I have kept my feet from every evil path so that I might obey your word.I have not departed from your laws, for you yourself have taught me.How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path.Your word is a lamp for my feet,a light on my path. I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous laws.Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart. My heart is set on keeping your decrees to the very end.” Adapted from Ps 119

You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the LORD…

Jeremiah 29:13,14a

Psalm 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible, containing 176 verses! It is a song/prayer of one who delights, pursues and lives in, by and through the Word of the Lord! With tears in my eyes and a cry in my heart for longing for HIM I’ve shared a few of my favorite verses within Ps 119.

But, I beg you, don’t stop with those few verses. Read it in its entirety, soaking in the Words of longing and inclination of heart to the very Words of Life. These words are indeed sweeter than honey and more precious than gold and silver.

Thank You for Your faithfulness, my Lord and my God, to love me and keep me in Your Word. Oh, How I love you, for your love is better than life and my lips overflow with praise!!
