Grady and I have seen several highlight reels lately and have said, “Oh, that looks like an exciting movie. So, we click on it to watch it only to turn it off five or ten minutes in. The highlight reel promised something different, but the real thing did not deliver, or delivered more than we were willing to see and hear. 😕
It occurs to me that Facebook and other forms of social media are much the same. Remember, friends, you are seeing the highlight reel. Your life is not less valuable than someone else’s. Life is not highlight reel after highlight reel. It is a journey of twists and turns, ups and downs, good, bad, ugly, and sometimes completely awesome and amazing! We celebrate happy events and grieve heartbreaking ones. We are truly blessed if we do not have to do this alone.🎁
In between we live life. There are leaves to rake, 🍂dishes to wash, 🍽️ babies to change, 👶snotty noses to wipe, bills to pay, and jobs to do.
Do them all with excellence! And love one another in the midst of it all. ❤️
